Goals for 2008

This year I have set a goal to read 100 books by the end of the year. I've never kept track of how many books I read and I just joined a Book Club on Ravelry.

I started the year off with Slash a Christmas gift from my son, Sean which I am still reading.

Later, I will post my list of books I plan on reading. And I'm not going to re-read any books this year. I do that often. Just new books. Well, not necessarily new books, but new to me.

I'm so freakin excited!

Slash! Sounds like some sort of horror story.

But then again, I guess some may consider the story of Guns and Roses to be just that.

Too bad Sean didn't give it to you as an iTune download, then we could have shared.

Oh well, such is life. Maybe I'll just have to break down and read it after you. Or not. :)

It's all about you, ins't it, Kashinsky?

But since I have my own library, iTunes books are kind of difficult to stand on the shelf.

And since YOU didn't get me anything for Christmas, perhaps an Amazon gift certificate is in order.

It's all about me now, boss. Learned from the best.

Miss me yet?

That's about 2 books a week. I recommend some short volumes for the busy weeks.
You've inspired me to think about a PLAN for book reading. Novel idea. Usually my reading choices are somewhat serendipitous.

One of my goals it more music. Since getting my ipod I finally feel connected back to my music again. I need to read more. I wish I could read & knit at the same time. :)

that's a great goal, becky - keep us up to date on your progress! I'm trying to read more, but its more like 12/year for me - although I have already finished a book this year...off to a good start! April
