The Phone Rings

in my office. I pick it up, "Quality. This is Becky." The voice on the other ends starts off...

"Mom, pause, what's an in-house network?" WTF? Who is this?

Jacob qualifies for health insurance at work now and he's in the Carpenter's Union so who does he call? Me. I should have told him to call his Shop Steward and hung up, but against my better judgment I told him to sign up for the HMO because I figure since HMO's don't give you many options, the phone calls might stop.

But somehow, I doubt it.

Tag - you're it! (hope you don't mind) Can't wait to see your random things. http://yarn-tails.blogspot.com/2007/11/random-tagging.html

Do kids ever outgrow the 'ask mom' phase? I kinda hope not . . .

And this is the same son that borrowed a bunch of money to become a surgical tech?

What's he doing in the carpenter's union?

Why isn't he in a union for medical personnel, especially with housing etc. heading for a major downturn?

You need to talk to that boy, or let me do! :)

I am often known to make phone calls that to my Dad with questions about banking, insurance, etc.

His usual answer is, "if you don't understand it, what makes you think I will?"

an Update:

Found out Jacob is having a BOY and he went to LA on Friday for the swearing in ceremony for his girlfriend, Jasenya (SP?) who is now a citizen.
